Today I added a “Portfolio” section to my blog here on DACMAN.com. Included in the portfolio section are examples of my work from both college and professional life. My hope is to give others a glimpse into what talents I possess and how I could be particularly useful to their company. Please email me if you have any questions or comments in regards to my work or just leave feedback under the comments section. Thank you–Dwight Carter.
Took the kiddies school supply shopping tonight. We spent approximately $125 dollars on 3 kids, not too bad I guess. Snapped this pic of my youngest who is not old enough for school yet but wanted him to feel included.
I tend to like one word titles, if you notice in most of my posts I like to keep it simple. Introspect is defined as, to reflect on one’s own thoughts and feelings. This is the motivation behind this post.
So far this Summer I have really enjoyed my time at home with the kids and am getting use to not being in class anymore. Currently, I am working on building my design business with Firepruf and have been keeping pretty busy with the projects I have had. I really enjoy working for myself because it gives me a lot of freedoms that others do not have. I work from home and it is a comfortable setting. I can work in shorts and t-shirt, take coffee breaks when I like or go jogging for awhile if I need a break from the computer and sitting. There are some downsides to working alone. If I am unmotivated well there is no one to really motivate me. If I am sick, there is no one else to pick up the slack. Overall though it has been pretty rewarding.
I am currently tossing around a few ideas and praying about them as well, which relate to the future of Firepruf and different things I would like to do with the company and other possible areas to delve into. For now I am going with the current and seeing where this ride is taking me and just trying to enjoy the view without too many worries which can be hard sometime.
Another side note, is that I am currently constructing a new office in my house in the basement area. I am posting a pic or two for you too see the beginning stages.
The best to you whereever you are,
For my graduation in May my awesome wife bought me an Intuos4 Tablet (medium). I have not used it a lot yet but I have been trying to get some time in with it so I can make it a bigger part of my workflow. Also, I just like to draw and doddle.
Here are the results of my time spent with the Wacom today in conjunction with Photoshop. I have to say, its pretty fun! To learn more about the Wacom Tablets follow this link.
This was swirling right above our house tonight but thank God nothing more came of it.
Took this shot with my IPhone out of my back window so quality is not that great but the sunrise this morning was absolutely beautiful.
My youngest son in the Lego store at downtown Disney in Orlando, FL. I love this pic because it is a great example of a child’s innocent curiosity.
